No matter what age, degree of mobility or circumstance, movement and the sensation of moving connects us to life moment by moment in a myriad of ways — through each breath, in a gesture, a look, an expression…moving through space and even in sleep, movement is integral to life.
Our bodies are designed to move, and when we move in ways that support increased presence and pleasure, we feel better. Bringing mindfulness to movement can enliven our experience in countless ways and can be a beautiful and simple path of practice.
Mindfulness-in-Motion is an integration of movement, sensory awareness and self-guided inquiry that can be practiced informally, or through such practices as Yoga, Nia Technique, or other movement traditions.
