Moving into Mindfulness

  • When: Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00 (4-Week Series)
  • Where: The DAYA Foundation
  • Cost: Sliding scale $55 - $75  

Mindfulness is at the heart of yoga, and moving more mindfully can support any meditation practice. This class integrates basic standing poses as a preparation for guided sitting meditation, and ends with a restorative yoga practice to promote balance and relaxation.   • When: 4th Sunday of each Month, 4:00 – 5:30 pm
  • Where: The DAYA Foundation

  • Sundays, 10:00 am  - 12:15 pm
  • Where:  Gem Studio
  • Program Cost: $425 (early registration) $475 (after early registration)
  • Tuition includes 8-week course, full day retreat, practice manual and guided MP3 recordings

MBSR is an 8-week program teaching practical methods to become more present, mindful and resilient to stress. The first step to enrolling in the class is to attend a free Orientation session. Learn more about mindfulness and MBSR, meet the instructor and ask any questions you may have about the program.  *Orientation required prior to registering.

M-Power Educators Mindfulness Training

Spring 2018

  • When: April 4 - May 30 / Wednesdays (4:15-6:15 pm) + April 7 & May 12 Saturdays (10:00 - 4:00)
  • Where:The DAYA Foundation
  • *Program Cost: $475 (early registration) $495 (after early registration) *May qualify for tuition reimbursement with building administrator approval
  • Graduate Credit available (3 credits through PSU School of Education) *separate fee/ speak with instructor for details
  • Continuing Education/Professional Development credits available 
  • Tuition includes 9-week course, two 6-hour Saturday classes, practice manual, book and guided MP3 recordings

Mindfulness-Based Emotional Balance Training (MBEB) is a 9-week wellness program created specifically for K-12 educators. It has been the subject of more than 10 years of research supporting its effectiveness. MBEB offers educators a blend of mindfulness practice, learning and discussion to build a foundation in core mindfulness skills, the science of emotions, and practices to develop resilience and foster compassion and improved well-being in-and-outside the classroom.  Learn more about MBEB
